Coastal Garden
This sloping site was bare after heavy earthworks, and a large architectural renovation on the house. We needed to make the coastal garden areas usable, and create a natural look to tie the ocean to the house.
Sam has a fantastic eye for detail when it comes to landscaping. He reinvented our muddy, rubble-strewn section (following major earthworks) into a delightful oasis of natives and exotics which perfectly complemented our newly renovated house. We retained the top section to create a small flat lawn off the deck, to provide a transition into the garden, and created zig-zag paths down the slope, creating a gentle gradient with vege gardens and seating areas to enjoy the tranquility of the sea view. Planting is native and coastal, a blend of natural colours and texctures which works well with the setting.
