During this Auckland villa renovation the garden and outdoor space required a complete clearing, some serious retaining walls were put in along the side boundary. The large flat garden which was created cried out for a generous entertaining courtyard, and a huge flat lawn.

We wanted a contemporary garden that was stylish and simple, but laid back and casual to suit our lifestyle. Sam helped us throughout the build, ensuring the landscaping was taken into account right from the beginning. We are thrilled with the result”.

Simple planting hides the two metre retaining wall, and the banana palms were retained at the back corner to provide a nod to the Grey Lynn heritage. The front garden is simple, formal and easy care; complementing the villa frontage and repeating planting elements from the back garden, providing continuity.
